RunAbout Runs is a family run business started in 2011 that designs & produces runs, whether standard items or custom-made, that are all handmade to a high quality standard.

Our runs have housed a variety of animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, dogs, goslings, ferrets, tortoises, aviary birds and even farmed snails!

Our rabbit and guinea pig runs are currently in use at the Godmanchester centres of Wood Green, The Animals Charity and have also been purchased by other rehoming centres / schools and Special Needs Centres. Private orders have been sent all around the country and if practical we pride ourselves on being able to deliver and install the order wherever possible to ensure total customer satisfaction.

All timber used is square planed softwood (Redwood) pressure treated and a water resisting stain formulation can be applied on request that is long lasting and non-toxic to animals.

Runs are constructed in modular frames with additional support bars as appropriate. 19g welded galvanised mesh with holes 1" (25mm) x 1/2" (13mm) is fixed to the inside of all wood frames to ensure no wooden edges can be gnawed by your pet and all fixtures and fittings used are non-corrosive. All joints are screwed together with staples being used for attaching the mesh.

All runs supplied that are higher than 3ft automatically have a full height 2ft wide gate that incorporates a threshold to prevent "escapees" and is secured by sliding bolts. Gates can be made to hinge left or right and open outwards or inwards and can be included within lower height runs if required.

All runs come in flat pack form with screws and bolts provided along with detailed instructions for self-assembly.

An installation service is available on request.

How to Order?

Most runs are normally available for delivery within 10 days of order placement and deliveries by RunAbout Runs can usually be made at a time to suit the customer including weekends and evenings when daylight permits.

Payment for all orders must be made in advance by phone via debit or credit card / BACS on placement of order.
